tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born on February 27, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played for 17 seasons with the National Football League. Gonzalez is regarded as one of the top tight ends to ever play, and is currently the NFL's most efficient tight end, in terms of receiving yards and receptions for tight ends. Gonzalez is third in the number of receptions he has. Gonzalez's first 12 seasons associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he received a selection as the 1st pick. In the five seasons that followed, he was with the Atlanta Falcons. Since his retirement in 2013, Gonzalez has been an analyst on football for NFL on Prime Video and previously worked at CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez completed his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most for a tightend and second-most in league history and also received six first-team All-Pros. Gonzalez was well-known for his strength and his ability to not throw a ball. He played in 272 games during the regular season and only fumbled twice, on 1,327 touches. Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gonzalez was inducted in the year 2019.
